Posted on 10/10/2019
Red Flag WarningUPDATE 10/10/19: Sierra Madre is currently NOT in Red Flag status so normal parking conditions are in effect. We will update if weather conditions meet Red Flag Parking conditions.

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect from Thursday 3AM (10/10) to Friday 6PM (10/11) for wind and low relative humidity for the hills and canyons of the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles Coastal Plain.

There will be no parking on the street during the above listed times. Vehicles parked on indicated streets will be subject to tow.

In accordance with ordinance No. 1405 of the Sierra Madre municipal code, whenever the Fire Department determines that on-street parking on any city street in the wild land area may create a hazard to life or property, the Fire Department is hereby authorized to install and maintain signs giving notice that on-street parking is prohibited on a red flag day alert.
