Temporary Use Permit

Temporary Use Permits provide temporary uses of private property which are not normally allowed as long as the temporary use is consistent with Chapter 17.88 of the Municipal Code which sets forth operational standards and requirements for temporary uses, and provides for the protection of the public health, safety and welfare.

Examples of when you would need a Temporary Use Permit include but are not limited to outdoor sales, including sidewalk and parking lot sales, grand opening celebrations, temporary parking lots, tent sales or events, Christmas tree lots or pumpkin patches, and temporary storage containers or trailers.

Temporary Use Permit Applications should be completed and submitted in person with payment to the Planning & Community Preservation Department Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:30pm.
