Library Services Proposal Committee
-
In light of the decrease in revenue due to the sun-setting of the UUT on July 1, 2015, the City Council created three committees to explore (1) contracting out public safety services, (2) contracting out library services, and (3) new revenue possibilities.
The Library Services Proposal Review Committee is made up of Councilmember Denise Delmar, the Chair and Vice Chair of the Library Board of Trustees, the Chair of the Senior Community Commission, the Chair of the Community Services Commission, the President of the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library , and the Archivist of the Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society (SMHPS). (At the July 28, 2015 City Council Meeting, at the request of the SMHPS, Council appointed a representative from the SMHPS to serve on the committee in lieu of Councilmember Rachelle Arizmendi.)
The committee's first meeting was held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 6:30pm in the City Council Chambers.
