The purpose of the Plan is to help meet the needs of the City’s current and future residents and to build on the community's unique recreational facilities, parks, and trail assets. The Plan is intended to serve as a guide for future recreational facility and park improvements and acquisition. It is also intended to be the basis for future financial planning and priorities.
Another important purpose of the Plan is to represent the community’s desires for a balance between parks, open space, and trails. Above all, the Plan seeks to contribute to a high quality of life in Sierra Madre.
