City of Sierra Madre Artwork Contest A Day in The Life with Our Wildlife Neighbors

The City of Sierra Madre invites artists of all ages to submit original artwork for our 2026 Wildlife Calendar!

 

Celebrate our local wildlife and help share smart-living tips through art. Selected entries will be featured alongside monthly facts about coexisting with animals in our foothill community.

A Day in the Life of Our Wildlife Neighbors

Your artwork should show local animals going about their daily lives—whether it’s a bear foraging, a raccoon exploring, or a coyote with pups.

Submission Deadline:

June 21, 2025


Who Can Enter:

Open to all ages!

  • Kids (12 & under)

  • Teens (13–17)

  • Adults (18+)

  • Adults 55+

 


Submission Guidelines:

  • One entry per person

  • Hand-drawn or painted

  • Size: 8.5" x 11" landscape format

  • Include:

    • Name

    • Age group

    • Contact info

    • 1-sentence description of the piece

or drop off at Sierra Madre City Hall 

🏆Winning Entries Will Be Featured In:

  • The 2026 City Wildlife Calendar

  • City social media, newsletters, or website

  • Receive a printed calendar copy and community recognition

Entries will be evaluated by a panel based on:

  • Creativity & originality

  • Theme relevance

  • Effort and craftsmanship

  • Clarity of message

  • Overall visual impact

Winners will be selected from each age category.
