The Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team is a group of dedicated volunteers, committed to saving lives in the wilderness. They operate solely on the donations from the community.
Founded in 1951, the Team has responded to thousands of calls for help in the wilderness and have saved countless lives. Regardless of whether it's a twisted ankle, a fallen climber, or an overdue hiker, the Team will be there.
The Team owns several fully equipped vehicles which are ready for immediate response to any location. Vehicle inventories include thousands of feet of rope, radios, litters, medical supplies, climbing hardware, downed aircraft locators, satellite/GPS navigation equipment, and other tools necessary to effectively run mountain search and rescue operations.
